Introduction:

Kamooki’s patented technology is what really separates the SmartFish™ from all other lures. The secret of the SmartFish™ is in harnessing the intricate relationship between the buoyant and non-buoyant properties. This is best demonstrated when the lure is resting on structure, where remarkably, the SmartFish™ maintains its upright profile on a single contact point. It is in this position, that the SmartFish™ achieves mechanical equilibrium. Through the harmony of its precisely crafted zinc keel and bottom-heavy design, integrated with a beautiful, uniquely shaped body, the SmartFish™ comes alive!

Performance:

The Kamooki SmartFish features a lead free zinc keel that allows the lure to be presented with a natural head down tail up position. This also makes it virtually snag free when fishing heavy structure. The SmartFish will hug the structure and keep your lure in the zone where fish are located and feeding. When trolled or casted and retrieved the lure gives you an incredible side to side tail wagging motion paired with loud vibrations to not only bring fish in but get them to strike. When paused the SmartFish will rest in a vertical position giving it the ability to be picked up from bottom by fish. When vertically jigging the SmartFish it will present the fish with a vibration and tail kick that fish cant resist when you lift the rod tip. On the fall the SmartFish presents a head down circular motion that drives fish crazy. After fishing the same SmartFish all day on heavy rock structure and many fish caught there was slight damage (surface only) to the nose of the lure from deflecting off rocks. The hook maintained its sharpness all day and didn’t snag once allowing me to keep the lure in the water and in turn catch me more fish.

Features/Design:

The Smartfish is very consistent in its actions and sink rate at 1.5 Ft/Second. The 0.5oz and 1oz weights compliment the lures size and action perfectly. With many colors and patterns to choose from the highly detailed lure bodies that stand up to a beating and present a real feeding or injured baitfish will astonish you when the fish inhale these lures. With a 3” and 4” size available this will cover most species and applications. A 1-2 inch version would be a welcomed addition to the line up for ice fishing when the fish are more lethargic or when fishing bodies of water that don’t contain aggressive fish as well as to target panfish species such as Perch.

Application:

The Kamooki SmartFish is hands down the most versatile lure in my tacklebox. On the open water I cant troll the Smartfish with no worries about snagging or being out of the depth range the fish are in. When I locate concentrations of fish I can simply stop and continue to vertical jig the SmartFish with quick snaps and slow falls with a pause to allow the fish to strike or pick the lure up off bottom when bouncing it to get their attention. The smartfish is perfect for drifitng and snap jigging. The design and action are perfect for triggering fish to bite on the fall or rest. I can also cast the lure into weed lines holding feeding fish or from shore and retrieve it taking advantage of the structure that typically holds fish. I also take an arsenal of SmartFish on the hard water with me when targeting aggressive walleye and pike. The circular motion covers more ground and the loud rattles and vibrations bring fish in from a great distance. With so many applications the Kamooki SmartFish is a must have in your tackle box so your lure spends more time in the water catching you fish.

Conclusion:

If you don’t have any Kamooki SmartFish in your tacklebox you are missing out on one of the most revolutionary lures to ever hit the water. I have been using the Smartfish for a while now and it has put so many fish in my boat and on the ice that I am confident I would not have caught without it. The SmartFish can be used in so many applications and for so many species. The SmartFish can be used by beginners and pros with great success. With 10 patterns and 2 sizes available there is a color and size to fit every situation and species making it the most versatile lure I have ever fished. It truly is eco friendly and fish deadly.
